GitHub PM

GitHub PM — User Guide
GitHub PM turns your GitHub repositories into an AI-assisted project management workspace. This guide walks through the product end to end — from the repository dashboard and issue tracking to the Kanban board, AI sprint planner, autonomous agent insights, and calendar.
Dashboard
After signing in with GitHub, the dashboard is your home base. It surfaces headline metrics across all your repositories — open issues, active pull requests, and recent activity trends — alongside a grid of repository cards showing stars, forks, and open issue counts. Pick any repository to drill into its issues, or jump straight to projects, the sprint planner, the AI agent, or the calendar from the top navigation.

Issue List
Each repository opens to a filterable issue list. Narrow the view by state, label, or milestone and re-sort on the fly — all filters live in the URL so a particular view is easy to bookmark and share. Pull requests are excluded so you stay focused on work items. From here you can launch the Voice Issue creator to dictate a new issue, or open Meeting Notes to extract issues from raw notes.

Issue Detail & AI Summary
Open an issue to read its full description, labels, assignees, milestone, and the complete comment thread. The AI summarizer condenses long, noisy discussions into a tight summary plus the key decisions made and concrete action items — so you can catch up on a 40-comment thread in seconds rather than scrolling through every reply.

Kanban Board
GitHub Projects v2 boards render as a drag-and-drop Kanban view. Move cards between status columns and the change persists back to GitHub immediately; if the update fails the board rolls back to its previous state so what you see always reflects reality. Cards show labels, assignees, and pull request status at a glance.

AI Sprint Planner
The sprint planner pulls open issues from the repositories you select and asks Claude to distribute them across your team for the next sprint. Configure each teammate's capacity, run the plan, and review a per-assignee breakdown with a capacity bar that flags anyone who is over- or under-allocated before you commit the sprint.

AI Agent Dashboard
The AI agent continuously analyzes a repository's issues and pull requests and reports back actionable insights — likely blockers, probable duplicates, and suggested next tasks — each with a severity and a one-click link to act. It also generates a stand-up report grouped into what was done yesterday, what's planned today, and current blockers, ready to drop straight into your daily sync.

Calendar
The calendar lays out a monthly grid combining repository milestones with the issues assigned to you. Deadlines and due dates appear as chips on their day cells, giving you a single timeline view of what's coming up across every project without hopping between repositories.
